Romans 13:11-14, “But make sure that you don’t get so absorbed and exhausted in taking care of all your day-by-day obligations that you lose track of the time and doze off, oblivious to God. The night is about over, dawn is about to break. Be up and awake to what God is doing! God is putting the finishing touches on the salvation work he began when we first believed. We can’t afford to waste a minute, must not squander these precious daylight hours in frivolity and indulgence ————————. Don’t loiter and linger, waiting until the very last minute. Dress yourselves in Christ, and be up and about! (MSG)
The church of Jesus Christ marches on as the annual congress of Living Waters Unlimited Church with the theme, “Mastering the Mysteries & the Keys of the Kingdom” kicks-off in exactly 5 days from now at the Redemption Camp, KM 40, Lagos – Ibadan Expressway. The antecedents of previous annual congresses of the church are pointers to the awesome power and grace that will be available during the three days of the congress to uphold, strengthen, enlighten, deliver and further equip the saints for the work of the kingdom. This year’s congress builds on the 2014 congress, ‘EPIGINOSKO 2014: The Just shall live by faith’. The theme, “Mastering the Mysteries and the Keys of the Kingdom” has been carefully selected as led by the Spirit of God to deliver into the hands of the saints the mysteries and keys of God’s kingdom that are critical for a glorious Christian life. Sons of God are given to know the mysteries and the keys of the kingdom but it takes revelation to capture and appropriate them. Until a child of God begins to work in the realm of the mysteries and the keys, he many never fulfill the plan and purpose of God concerning his life and the body of Christ. This is what this year’s congress intends to achieve in our lives.
Matthew 13:11, “He answered and said to them, because it has been given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given” (NKJV)
Matthew 16:19, “And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven”(NKJV)
To get the best of this year’s congress, it is important that we begin to prepare now. In the book of 2 Chronicles 27:6, we are told that Jotham became mighty (grew powerful) because he prepared his ways before the Lord His God. In the same manner, if we are going to get the best from this year’s congress and become great men and women of the kingdom, we must not only plan to attend but prepare ourselves to receive what God has ordained for us in the three days.
Preparation can mean different things for different individuals. It generally means purging ourselves of every filthiness of the flesh and spirit in readiness for receiving the blessings of the Lord (2 Cor. 7:1). It could involve fasting, prayers, forgiveness and confessions. What is important is that every form of blockage in our lives that will hinder the flow of God’s glory and blessings are completely flushed out. This way we will be ready to hear the voice of the Spirit and receive from God.
The scripture in Romans 13:11-14 above emphasizes the need for us to remain alert in the spirit. This is because God is putting finishing touches on the salvation work he began in our lives since the time we believed. This year’s congress is a critical part of the finishing work of salvation and we must be available and prepared to get the best from God.
We should not be like the foolish virgins in Matthew 25 who failed to prepare and lost out at the time of their visitation. It is imperative that you secure your place at the LWUC Congress 2015. Don’t just stop there; Invite all the people around you to the event. I assure you that whatever sacrifice you make to obtain this treasure will be worthwhile. SEE YOU THERE.
God bless you
