LOCATING YOUR PURPOSE IN GOD’S KINGDOM

“to everything there is a season,

Atime for every purpose under heaven:” (Eccl. 3:1) (NKJV) Our God is a God of purpose. To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven (Eccl. 3:1). God has a purpose for your life. God chose you having called you out of darkness into His marvelous light (1 Peter 2:9). A man with no expectations as it relates to his life cannot locate his purpose.

God not only loves us (John 3:16) but He has called us according to His purpose (Rom. 8:28). God is very particular about His Kingdom. We all have both individual and collective roles to play in the Kingdom. We have all been called by God to serve our generation by the will of God (Acts 13:36). The plan of God is that we would hand over the baton to the next generation after we have played our role according to His will. (Ps. 78:4).

Have you been assigned to locate and prove the eternal gospel to your generation? Is it your assignment to lay a solid foundation based on God’s word? Note, there is another Jesus, another spirit and another gospel being preached out there today to the ignorant (2 Cor. 11:4). Jesus Christ came to preach the gospel of the kingdom of God (Luke 4:43). A generation has been assigned to preach, teach and prove the gospel of the kingdom. Are you one of them?

Is your own assignment to take the eternal gospel which has been located and proved by the earlier generation and have it documented in order to hand it over to the next generation? Or is your assignment to disseminate the eternal gospel to schools, colleges, and the market place so that everybody can have access to it? (Ps. 68:11).

These three generations are in Living Waters Unlimited Church. It is each person’s responsibility to locate his assignment, to pursue it and ensure the will of God is done in his own generation.

God expects us not only to locate our own assignment in our generation but also serving according to the will of God. Unless one is able to do this, it is unlikely that such a person will be able to fulfill his divine purpose in his own generation. God has expectations concerning us and He does not want His expectations and purposes for our lives to be wasted (2 Tim. 1:9).

We must therefore earnestly contend for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints (Jude 3). We must fight the good fight of faith (1 Tim. 6:12). We must not leave iniquity (Mic. 2:1) and unrighteousness for the next generation.
