MARVELOUS LIGHT (Walking worthy of the Lord)

For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God”.

Walking in marvelous light involves walking worthy of the Lord. This means that our entire lives must be lived to please him (Rev 4:11). Pleasing him in all areas of life brings glory to him and this is what delivers the blessings of the Lord to us.

We must always ensure that our time is spent on things profitable to God. We must carry his presence in everything we do. God is not lazy, He created the earth in six days and rested on the seventh. He also wants us to work and be productive in the work he ordained for us from the foundation of the world. To achieve this goal requires that we spend our time purposefully.

God wants us to commit our finances into his hands by paying our tithes and offerings regularly. He does not need our money but it is a critical resource to push the agenda of His Kingdom forward. God is not pleased when we give him less than what is expected of us. He wants us to give him our best at all times. This involves putting clean notes in our offering envelope and working excellently in our various departments in Church.

God also expects us to show kindness to the poor and needy as he values them tremendously. Beyond giving money, He expects us to commit our time, and show concern and kindness to the needy.

We must also watch the kind of company we keep as he does not expect us to be in the company of unbelievers. We should preach Christ to them but we must not be unequally yoked. (2 Cor. 6:16-18). We are the light of the World and must not have fellowship with darkness.

It is extremely important to not only be filled with the knowledge of His will but also to increase in the knowledge of Him. This is the only way we do exploits (Daniel 11:32) in His name and manifest His power and glory.
