“Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is” (1 John 3:2 NKJV)
For our success to be permanent in 2017 and beyond, we must continuously trust and hold on to God. Looking at those things which cannot be seen that are eternal, rather than on things which can be seen that are temporary (2 Cor. 4:18). God has said that He will not leave nor forsake us (Heb. 13:5). He will answer us when we call upon Him (Matt. 7:7). God cannot lie (Num. 23:19).
To live in perfect peace can only come by putting our trust in God (Isa. 26:3). In 2017, as children of God, our heart must be stayed on the Lord and we must not go to Egypt for help (Isa. 31:1). We must also learn to wait on the Lord to have our strength renewed (Isa. 40:31). Our success in this life is dependent on the spirit of God within us, and not on our might or power (Zech. 4:6).
It is the presence of God in our lives that will determine and make the difference whether we succeed or fail in 2017 (Ex. 33:15-16). When our thoughts and ways are aligned with the thoughts and ways of God, only then can we get the results of God (Isa. 55:8). We must not lean on our own understanding but instead we must put our trust in the Lord in very situation and circumstance we find ourselves (Prov. 3:5).
As children of God, to succeed in 2017, what we need is wisdom and understanding from God (Prov. 4:7) and not our intellectual calculations. And if any one of us lacks wisdom, let him ask God who gives liberally (James 1:5). For we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us (Phil. 4:13).
In 2017, we must be bold (Acts 4:13), not only to stand for righteousness (Acts 28:1) but also to defend the gospel. We have been called to preach the kingdom of God and teach the things which concern our Lord Jesus Christ (Acts 28:31). We are the light of the world (Matt. 5:14) chosen to make a difference in this perverse generation (Phil. 2:15).
As long as our eyes are on God in 2017, our expectations shall not be cut off (Prov. 23:18 & 24:14).
