“Your sun shall no longer go down, nor shall the moon withdraw itself, For the Lord will be your everlasting light”——-. (Isaiah 60:20).
We belong to a kingdom that is superior to all the kingdoms of this world. A major distinguishing feature of this kingdom is that we live and walk in marvelous light (1 Peter 2:9) and the source of this light is the Lamb (Rev 21:23). Until a man or woman knows that there is a glory that follows after Easter, he remains and continues to grope in the dark.
When we approach the kingdom of God, follow the ways of the kingdom and engage the mysteries of the kingdom, there is a light that shines in and through us. Without this light there would be confusion and the darkness around us can only get darker. For sons of God however, a time of gross darkness is a time to arise and shine (Isaiah 60:1-2)
Darkness sponsors, witchcraft, sickness, corruption, disease, fornication, adultery and all forms of negative habits. To remain victorious, we must pierce darkness. Jesus had to pierce darkness before He could gain victory for all of us (Luke 22:53).
Jesus is the only truth and only the truth can overcome darkness. The patriarchs inquired and searched diligently through the Spirit of Christ in them for this truth; the sufferings of Christ and the glories that would follow (1 Peter 1:10). We must search the scriptures to know the truth as only this truth can deliver the glory promised by God.
We must be determined to gain spiritual knowledge as this is the only way to remain in the light. The natural man does not have what it takes to understand the things of the Spirit because they are spiritually discerned (1 Cor 2:14). Living in darkness can make a believer stagnate and render all his prayers ineffective.
The truth of God’s word will give us understanding, without the word we will walk and remain in darkness. To stay on the path of life we must go for His word. When the word enters darkness must give way. We must have a zeal for God but that zeal must be according to knowledge ( Rom: 10:2).
Whenever we have a challenge we should look for the word in the scriptures that identifies with that challenge, meditate and confess it, the darkness will surely disappear. The Bible says that the entrance of the word brings light ——- (Psalm 119:130). LET US GO FOR THE MARVELOUS LIGHT
