PIERCING THE DARKNESS (Part 2)

“And you shall know the truth, and the truth

shall make your free.” (John 8:32 NKJV)

Satan uses the power of darkness to drag us into darkness, in order to be able to defeat us.   We must not be ignorant, there is something called the power of darkness (Luke 22:53).  In the place of darkness, there is no knowledge and our glory is ineffective, because our prayer is said from a position of darkness.

God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all (1 John 1:5).  The marvelous light comes from the throne of God.  It is the Lamb of God that gives light (Rev 21:23 & 22:5).  It is God’s plan that the light from the Lamb be accessed by His children to walk in it, to guarantee for them total success.

We have been purchased out of darkness (Acts 20:28) into His marvelous light (1 Peter 2:9).  If the light from the throne is not shinning in our lives, we cannot live a victorious life.  We were not designed to walk in darkness.  Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil, the works of darkness (1 John 3:8).

When we embrace the Son, the Light, we cannot walk in darkness.  To operate in light, we must pierce the darkness.  Knowledge of the word of God is what is needed to pierce the darkness.  When we embrace the word of God, it shows us the way to follow.  It pierces the darkness (Ps. 119:105).

The entrance of the word gives light (Ps. 119:130).  Knowledge that comes from the word of God is what brings light.  It is only the word (truth) that can make us free from bondage (John 8:32).  The entire creation is awaiting the manifestation of the sons of God (Rom. 8:19).

We must find out what God wants us to do (Eph. 2:10) and reposition ourselves.  As a child of God, we have no business with darkness.  We are expected to work out our salvation with fear and trembling (Phil. 12:2).

Let us therefore go for the knowledge of God and His truth (1 Cor. 1:18-19).  The knowledge of God’s word makes all the difference between being in marvelous light and darkness.  Only then can the light of the Lamb shine through us.
