“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the Kingdom of heaven,

but he who does the will of My Father” (Matt. 7:21 NKJV)

Are you aware that the very day you accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour, God, by a spiritual operation, deposited and put inside you a new spirit (Ezek.11:19), to migrate you from the kingdom of darkness into His kingdom? (1 Peter 2:9).  Now that you are a citizen of the kingdom of God, there are certain behavioral patterns and ways associated with the kingdom, which God expects from you.  These patterns are enabled by the new spirit that God has put inside of you, which powers the new life in the kingdom.

This power is funded by the new spirit that works inside of us, and it determines the limit we can go in fulfilling God’s eternal plan for our lives (Eph. 2:10).  The natural manifestation which we see around us is actually a function of the way we have decided to live our lives by the new spirit within us.

To live effectively and successfully in the kingdom of God, both in this world and in eternity, we must be ready and willing to do the will of God (Matt. 7:21).  It is not enough to go to church or even serve in a department in church.  God expects us to pay attention to the principles outlined in the scriptures.  It will be difficult to do the will of God without a proper understanding of the principles of the kingdom.  The kingdom of God and her principles must be our primary concern to maximize the opportunities available in the kingdom.

When we put God first (Matt. 6:33), not only are we able to fulfill God’s plan and purpose for creating us (Rev. 4:11), we are also able to avoid a life of struggle, worry and ultimate failure in this world.  God expects us as His children to preserve the values and qualities of His kingdom wherever we find ourselves (Matt. 5:13).  Our lives should be a healing balm to others.  We must be available to pray for the sick and minister life to those around us.  God is looking for believers who are willing to win souls for His kingdom.  These are the things that bring joy to God.

We are the light of the world (Matt. 5:14).  We are the children of light (Eph. 5:8).  We are meant to be light to our generation.  Our light should draw men unto God’s kingdom (John 3:19).  We are carriers of light, life distributing spirits.  The light that darkness cannot comprehend (John 1:5).  The light which exposes darkness.  Therefore, we must not be seen to be promoting evil and iniquity (Luke 11:35).

The way we live our lives matters to God.  When we live our lives according to the dictates of the spirit of God, only then can God establish and direct us.  God wants our lives to affect the lives of others around us.  There is a behavioral pattern in the kingdom of God which we must abide by as citizens of the kingdom.  We must believe and accept God’s word into our spirit.  Our God is a faithful God.  His thoughts towards us are of peace and not of evil, to give us an expected end (Jer. 29:11).

Are you adding flavor to the lives of those who live around you?
