“But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us.”  (Eph. 2:4 (NKJV)

The foundation of our faith is love (John 3:16), God’s love and until a man is fully persuaded and convinced that God loves him, such a person cannot go far with God, for God is love (1 John 4:8).  Do you know that God is always thinking about you (Jer. 29:11)?  Are you aware that God has crowned you with glory and honour (Ps. 8:5 & John 17:22)?  A man who is in honour, yet does not understand is like the beast that perishes (Ps. 49:12 & 20).

Do you know how God sees you?  God created you to be the salt of the earth (Matt. 5:13) and the light of the world (Matt. 5:14).  We were created by God to have dominion (Gen. 1:28 & Ps. 8:6).  We have been fearfully and wonderfully made (Ps. 139:14).  This is who we are, and this should be the mindset of every believer who has accepted the love of God.

We must personalize God’s thoughts towards us, knowing that His thoughts are thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give us a future and a hope (Jer. 29:11).  Do you know that God watches over you day and night (Ps. 121:4) and that you are the apple of His eye (Zech. 2:8)?  We have been engraved upon the palms of His hands (Isa. 49:16) and have been blessed with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ (Eph. 1:3).

Do you believe what God has said about you?  Our understanding of this truth must first be settled in our spirit to enable us fulfill all the plans we have set for ourselves in 2018. As sons of God we are expected to think about His thoughts towards us as it concerns our lives.  We are not expected to be afraid.  The righteous is as bold as a lion (Prov. 28:1).  We have not been given a spirit of fear, but of power, and of love and of sound mind (2 Tim. 1:7).

God’s love towards us is so supernatural and unconditional. He first chose us (John 15:16 & 1 Peter 2:9) and He even demonstrated his love towards us, when we were still sinners (Rom. 5:8).

In 2018, we must humble ourselves to accept His love.  We must change our mindset moving forward, because what we think about matters.  For as a man thinks in his heart, so is he (Prov. 23:7) because out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks (Matt.12:34).  We must begin today to behave like a believer who knows that God loves him (Rom 8:31).
