“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God” (John 1:1) (NKJV)
God is a spirit (John 4:24) and it therefore becomes more imperative that we get the knowledge of what God is saying to our generation today (Hos. 4:6) in order not to frustrate the grace of God upon our lives (Gal. 2:21). After the new birth, our life is no longer our own to live as we like. We must now live this new life according to the dictates of the Word of God (Gal. 2:20).
The Word is the same yesterday, today and forever (Heb. 13:8). Jesus is the word (John 1:1) and as many as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name (John 1:12). By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible (Heb. 11:3).
For the word to be birthed in our lives, we must speak life in every situation we find ourselves. There is a reward for giving a good report (Prov. 18:21). The word of God is prophetic. The thoughts of God shall come to pass and His purpose shall stand (Isa. 14:24) and we must always put this into remembrance, because there is power in the word (Deut. 8:18). The power of the word never fails. Be bold to speak the word as you are led by the spirit (Jer. 1:7), because the righteous is as bold as a lion (Prov. 28:1).
The word of God is quick and powerful (Heb. 4:12). When we reject the word, it leads inevitably to destruction (Hos. 4:6). We must not only be hearers but also doers of the word, otherwise we would have deceived ourselves (James 1:22).
The word of God is creative (Gen. 1:1-27). The word is the solution provider to any challenge we might be confronted with (1 Cor. 10:13). It also assures us of a future and a hope (Jer. 29:11). The instructions for good success in this life can only be found in the word (Josh. 1:8). It is the stepping stone to our next level of promotion.
We must never forget to pray without ceasing (1 Thess. 5:17). Our God is a prayer answering God, for the word assures us that before we call, He will answer, and while we are still speaking, He will hear. All we have to do is just believe the word.
